My first morning in Delhi, awake at 8 in the morning, I decide to take a walk through the park across the street from where I'm staying-Siri Fort Road. The light was so beautiful and there were wild peacocks (the national bird of India) everywhere. It was a such a nice, rare break from the chaos of the city.

INDIA: Old Harbour Hotel, Fort Cochin, Kerala
After traveling around India for 3 weeks and trying to keep my stay on the cheaper side of things, I gave in and decided to splurge on a few nights at the nicest hotel in Fort Cochin. I had been to this town at the beginning of my trip but had to return after falling in love with the area. The hotel was gorgeous. Everything, down to every detail, was perfect. It didn't feel like a hotel stay, but more like staying in my dream apartment! Although it was on the pricey side, it was totally worth every rupee for I can't rave enough about this magical place and the hospitality I received during my stay.
